About us
The Guided Path was born from our personal journey as parents of a child on the Autism Spectrum. Like so many families, we faced uncertainty, isolation, and a constant search for the right support systems ones that truly understood our child’s needs and celebrated their uniqueness. Through this lived experience, we realized how many others were navigating the same challenges with limited access to sensory-friendly environments, therapeutic resources, or inclusive spaces where their children could thrive. What started as a passion to advocate for our own child has grown into a mission to walk alongside other families, creating a path where every step is guided by compassion, connection, and community.
Mission Statement
The Guided Path is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum and their families by promoting sensory-friendly environments, providing access to meaningful resources, and creating inclusive spaces for therapeutic growth and connection.
Vision Statement
We envision a world where individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families feel supported, empowered, and understood. Through sensory-friendly initiatives, animal-assisted therapy, and community outreach, we aim to bridge the gap between neurodivergent individuals and the communities they live in.
Our Values
- Compassion – We lead with empathy, drawn from our personal journey as a family.
- Inclusion – We champion spaces where all individuals feel safe and welcome.
- Empowerment – We help families and children find strength in their unique paths.
- Connection – We build meaningful bonds through community and care.
- Respect – We honor the individuality and dignity of every person we serve.
Meet the Founders
Tayveon & Kyra Henry – Co-Founders
As parents of a child with autism, Tayveon and Kyra Henry founded The Guided Path out of both love and necessity. Through their own journey navigating the challenges and triumphs of raising a neurodivergent child, they saw firsthand how isolating and overwhelming the process could be especially when support systems were limited or inaccessible. Their lived experience as advocates, caregivers, and parents became the foundation for something greater: a nonprofit designed to meet families where they are, provide real support without judgment, and build bridges between children with autism and the communities around them. Tayveon and Kyra bring passion, purpose, and deep empathy to every part of The Guided Path walking with other families toward healing, inclusion, and growth.
